We at the WVMSGSC believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to the Earth, was born of a virgin, lived as a man, was presented as a living sacrifice on the Cross, and rose again three days later, so that we all could live forever in his glorious presence if we chose to accept Him into our hearts.
The West Virginia State Gospel Singing Convention strives to preserve the old-time camp meeting and singing traditions with the annual sings held in June, July, and September.
This great Hallelujah Sound, making a joyful noise unto the Lord, has caught on as it echoes and reverberates throughout the hills of Mt. Nebo, West Virginia, lodging in the hearts and minds of thousands of the Lord's people throughout the Nations and even to other Countries. . . They have begun to join in the chorus of "Where Mountain People Sing to the Glory of God" who is smiling upon us! I ask you: Who has brought this Convention from its humble beginning to the great Gospel Singing Convention that now we are all so thoroughly enjoying? Where shall it go from here? Could it be one segment of the Word that shall reach unto the uttermost parts? Only as long, my friend, as we retain that humbleness that was displayed in the fence corner by the founders years ago.
A heritage has been passed down to us. . . Let us pass it on to others!
What is your reaction? What is your question? Are you a part of this Convention? Who shall maintain it? Who is responsible? All of these answers, my friend, are within you. If you have helped in ANY way: if you have browsed this website, and are now reading these words, if you have contributed monetarily, if you have displayed goodwill towards the cause, if you have fellowshipped with your friends and neighbords on the campgrounds, YOU HAVE CONTRIBUTED!!
